11 Best Airbnbs in Houston, Texas (2024)

Houston is calling, y’all, and there’s an Airbnb that’s got just what you’re looking for when you visit. The nation’s fourth-largest city is home to so much to see, do, and eat. In recent years, Space City has upped its food game, so you’ll find excellent steakhouses, delicious Tex-Mex, craft barbecue, and incredible Asian food in the area. It’s also home to NASA, fantastic shopping at the Houston Galleria, and a thriving museum district and performing arts scene. Come February, the World’s largest Rodeo makes an appearance for several weeks.

Whether you’ve come for work or play, the sprawling nature of Houston’s landscape means that finding the right location is paramount, and while there are many wonderful hotels in the area, a vacation rental can often be more convenient and economical. Want to be close to all the bars and trendy restaurants? Choose a cozy garage apartment or a designer home in Montrose. Looking to stay downtown? East Downtown has some of the coolest properties, with easy access to Huynh Vietnamese Restaurant, 8th Wonder Brewery, and Ninfa’s on Navigation—the original birthplace of fajitas. A Heights bungalow will put you smack dab in the middle of all things trendy, while a Rice Military home is the perfect base for long days of sightseeing.

From one-bedroom hidden gems to luxurious designer homes, here are 11 of the best Airbnbs in Houston.

When is the best time to visit Houston?

Weather-wise, the best time to visit Houston is in spring (February through April) or fall (mid-September through mid-November) when the temperatures are milder and hover in the 70 to 80 degree range. Try to avoid the summer months—late May through late August—which tend to be very hot and humid.
