Position
Summary
*This position is pending final approval by the Board of Trustees and is anticipated to begin on July 1,
2026, at the start of fiscal year 2027. Accordingly, selected candidates will not begin employment prior to July 1, 2026.
Identifies,
develops and coordinates all aspects of institutional relationships between the college and various employer partners, including
apprenticeship and internship programs for credit and noncredit programs. Encourages hiring and placement of Career and Technical Education
graduates through formal STLCC-employer partnerships, supports the Career Development department and career services advisors through
broader and higher-level relationships with key regional employers, and provides potential leads for direct-pay workforce development
contracts with Workforce Solutions Group (WSG). Represents the College with key regional employers.
Primary Duties
Performed
- Engages in community outreach and develops partnerships with employers that generate job opportunities,
apprenticeships, and internships for students and alumni. - Develops and maintains executive-level strategic relationships and serves
as the client representative for a portfolio of regional employers to understand current and future workforce needs and develop a hiring
pipeline for STLCC graduates. - Tracks program participants and outcomes; engages the full spectrum of STLCC academic and student
affairs resources to resolve problems and create a smooth pathway to employment. - Works closely with Career Development and faculty
to facilitate the exchange of information regarding career competencies and opportunities for students. - Participates in employer
recruiting activities such as career/job fairs, recruiting activities, workshops, and educational programs. - Develops promotional
materials, conducts group presentations, and engages with workforce and economic development organizations as appropriate. - Other
duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
- Associate Degree and five (5) years of
relevant full-time experience. - Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of relevant full-time
experience.
Working Conditions
- Supports multiple college locations and requires travel
between college locations within the St. Louis region.
Physical Requirements:
- May require some heavy
lifting.
