Job Description
The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director of Workforce Development, assisting in overseeing data and program information as requested for grant reporting and college requests. The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Pre-Apprenticeship program and staff to provide wrap-around services for participants enrolled in the Pre-Apprenticeship program. The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator will supervise the EnRich Workforce Navigators. The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator plays a key role in communicating the program’s vision, distinctiveness, and the uniqueness of the opportunity to enter the workforce field. The Coordinator acts as a liaison between the College, community agencies, and professional organizations. The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator will support participants enrolled through the EnRich Workforce programs who are both promising participants and hard-to-place participants alike. The Coordinator helps participants overcome barriers, facilitates an effective transition through the program, and prepares participants for life after graduation. The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator will report to the Executive Director of Workforce Development.
The Coordinator develops a sense of belonging through providing excellent service to prospective participants during the recruitment and admissions process and throughout the program. Coordinators serve as an intersection between Richland Community College and future workforce professionals. The position will be critical in linking school staff and community resource providers, ensuring that participants have access to available services. The EnRich Workforce Program Coordinator will conduct career assessments, intake, career counseling, and assist in career exploration activities.
This is a grant-funded position and is subject to the continuation of the grant funding.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in social work, healthcare, education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution with at least 1-3 years providing student support services, developing or coordinating youth programming, or community activities for youth. Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and public speaking skills, as well as current technology and computer skills. Must maintain a current Illinois Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.
Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.
Work is routinely performed in an office environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, using hands and fingers, stooping, and occasional lifting of objects up to 10 lbs.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. There may be irregular hours periodically, including weekend and/or evening hours for recruiting events, media events, and meetings. Summer hours may vary. This position may be eligible for an alternative work arrangement.
