Variant Investments has appointed Qing Fan as senior vice-president of capital markets and named Patrick Dillon as vice-president of investor relations.
The $2.6bn (£1.9bn) private credit investment manager said both appointments will support the firm’s expansion in the institutional investor market and its capital-raising efforts within the US wealth management space.
Fan, who is based in New York, will lead Variant’s capital markets strategy, including syndication initiatives and expansion in the institutional investor market. Before joining Variant, she was co-chief revenue officer and head of capital markets at Raistone, a fintech company.

Dillon, based in Chicago, will be responsible for raising capital in the US wealth market, focusing on registered investment advisers, turnkey asset manager programmes and broker-dealers. He previously served as a client portfolio manager and external wholesaler at Community Capital Management.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Variant makes private investments in niche markets, offering these to investors through closed-end interval funds and a private fund.
