Job Title: Workforce Development Specialist
Salary Range: $37,923.80 – $45,982.60
Pay Grade: 105

JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for guiding participants through the transition to sustainable employment by providing comprehensive case management and employability help. This multifaceted role may involve recruiting eligible participants through community outreach and proactive business engagement to build a strong talent pipeline. Acting as the primary point of contact, the specialist delivers exceptional customer service by addressing barriers to employment. As well as maintaining positive relationships with local employers and partners. Additionally, the position requires precise data entry and adherence to contract requirements. This role will be required to maintain detailed participant files within digital management systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Case Management: Conduct initial intake assessments, identify employment barriers.
- Recruitment & Outreach: Network with community organizations and educational institutions to recruit career seekers and promote services.
- Customer Service: Provide one-on-one career assistance, while ensuring a supportive, solution-oriented experience for all clients.
- Administrative Duties: Record all client interactions in databases, manage program documentation for audit readiness, and prepare performance reports for leadership.
- Employer Relations: Collaborate with local businesses to identify hiring needs and facilitate job placements or work-based learning opportunities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree; two (2) years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (4 years) which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

TYPE OF WORK
Work performed is primarily:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Very heavy work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
WORK ENVIRONMENT
May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule including nights.
