Executive Director, Career Services
Indiana State University seeks a strategic, collaborative leader to serve as Executive Director of Career Services, guiding a comprehensive vision for career connectedness and student success.
This role leads the Career Center in delivering innovative programs, building strong employer and alumni partnerships, and integrating career development across the student experience. The Executive Director serves as a key campus partner and external ambassador-advancing opportunities that prepare students for meaningful careers and lifelong success.
What You’ll Lead:
- Strategy & Team Leadership: Set direction for the Career Center, fostering a high-performing team through coaching, development, and clear priorities
- Programs & Operations: Oversee career services, resource allocation, and program delivery to maximize student engagement and outcomes
- Campus Collaboration: Partner across academic and administrative units to embed career readiness throughout the student journey
- Employer & Alumni Engagement: Strengthen relationships that create pipelines to internships, jobs, and experiential learning
- Data-Informed Impact: Use assessment, including the First Destination Survey, to measure success and continuously improve

Job Summary:
Serves as the leader and chief administrator for the Career Center as it provides resources and opportunities for student, alumni, faculty, and employer clients related to career exploration, career readiness competency development, employer engagement, internships and experiential learning and student employment. They lead a team in understanding workforce trends and responsible for informing campus partners on those trends. They play a central role in supporting the career connected pillar of the university strategic plan.
