BTG Pactual Global Alternatives has continued to expand its credit platform with the appointment of Eric Ballantine as managing director and co-head of research.
The $11.5bn (£8.6bn) alternatives investment division of Latin American investment bank BTG Pactual said Ballantine will support the firm’s investment decision-making and underwriting processes.
Ballantine will co-lead BTG Pactual Global Alternatives’ performing credit strategy alongside Brian O’Leary.
His appointment follows several recent hires across the alternative investor’s credit strategy. The firm appointed Vincent Ingato as senior portfolio manager for performing credit and O’Leary as co-head of research for performing credit in April, while Chris Allen joined as head of performing credit in September 2025.
