Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed Tamara Marten as head of corporate executives and professionals within its private office.
This role will see Marten focus on delivering wealth management services to high-net-worth (HNW) individuals.
Her clients will mostly be in the legal and financial sectors as well as corporate executives.
Marten joins Investec Wealth & Investment with 15 years’ of experience within asset management.
She started her career in Forex working with institutional and private clients at Lehman Brothers, Barclays and Citi Private Bank.
She then moved to wealth management as a private banker with a focus on family offices.
Following that, she led the EMEA Investment team at Citi Wealth where she also had a focus on legal and financial industry clients.
Marten said: “Drawing on my experience of working with professional clients, I appreciate the need for efficient and simple investment advice and execution.
“I enjoy working closely with clients to construct investment portfolios which complement their personal and professional growth, adapting to changing risk appetites through their career progression as well as developing investment strategies to complement their in-house requirements.”

In May 2023, Investec Wealth & Investment appointed Marc Wright as head of entrepreneurs within its private office.
The international bank and wealth manager said this hire is part of its effort to grow the team of specialists looking after HNW clients within its private office arm.
