The great and the good of the financial advice profession gathered at The Londoner last night, to celebrate the winners of the Money Marketing Awards 2023 at a glitzy ceremony.
Amyr Rocha Lima was crowned Adviser Personality of the Year Award for his outstanding work championing the profession.
The Strategic Wealth group director is considered by many to be a true role model and has been described as “the future of the profession” by his esteemed peers.
And it was NextGen Planners director and head of content Adam Owen who scooped this year’s Outstanding Contribution Award.
A past president of the Personal Finance Society, Owen is well-known and highly regarded in the world of financial advice.
A strong believer in the need for greater collaboration, he shows how achievements can be amplified when people work together.
This year, Money Marketing added some new categories to the awards roster.
Taking home the award for Best Adviser Academy was St James’s Place.
Judges hailed its “unequalled track record” for bringing new blood into the profession. They were impressed by SJP’s commitment to making the profession “relevant to people who aspire to join”.
And it was FE fundinfo which picked up the award for Best Investment Research Service for Advisers.
The judges admired FE fundinfo’s submission for this category and described the firm as “the gold standard” on fund data for UK financial advisers.
The platform is well-suited to advisers’ needs and is easy to use, the panel agreed.
