Support services provider PlanHappy has launched an ‘all in one’ technology solution which supports both financial planners and advisers.
The platform provides access to training and development, one-to-one coaching, as well as a range of business support services for financial planning professionals.
PlanHappy was the “brainchild” of independent pension advice and retirement planning specialists Joslin Rhodes CEO Neil Parker.
Parker who has over two decades of financial planning experience said: “PlanHappy was born out of frustration, as a lifestyle financial planner, the existing software available just didn’t do what I wanted it to do.”
PlanHappy is tech designed and built by financial planners, for financial planners and allows planners to run their whole business on one system.
It also provides three training courses which offer 280-modules of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) content as well as personalised one-to-one coaching.
Parker added: “CPD has to be at the heart of truly effective financial planning. Understanding the financial landscape and evolving client needs is one thing. But to be truly ahead of the game, a successful financial planner should always be looking to hone their craft and not make the same mistakes as many before them have.”
He also noted that PlanHappy will be key in supporting planners to ask their clients the ‘big questions’, “finding out what matters to them, and helping them to plan for a prosperous and secure future.
“PlanHappy is the next step not only for me but for financial planning as a whole. With the right support and tools, we can help financial planners and advisers across the UK take their financial planning practices to the next level.”
Parker founded Joslin Rhodes which now has 60 staff and is a £200m funds under administration (FUA) business.
In October 2023, it was announced Seccl had been contracted to provide tech support to PlanHappy’s adviser platform service.
The Octopus-owned embedded investment platform says it provides low-cost application programming interface (API)-first technology infrastructure to support firms run their own platforms.
PlanHappy had already built its own bespoke platform with a front-end interface for clients.
