InRento reports “rapid growth” as it eyes overseas expansion in 2025

InRento expands

Lithuanian crowdfunding platform InRento has reported “rapid growth” this year, as it eyes further overseas expansion in 2025.

The firm has funded more than €35m (£29.1m) of buy-to-let projects since launching in 2020, having financed the latest €5m of investments in just over two months. Gustas Germanavičius, founder and chief executive of InRento, said this uptick in pace “demonstrates growing investor confidence and interest in the platform’s opportunities”.

InRento has been expanding overseas to support its growth plans, having entered its third market, Ireland, this year.

It is now targeting further growth in Poland, the first market it expanded into outside of Lithuania.

“The Polish market is especially important for our expansion strategy,” said Germanavičius in an article on the firm’s website.

“We began operations there in early 2023, and most of our projects outside Lithuania are financed in Poland. This year, investments attracted in Poland exceeded €4m, showcasing our ability to capitalise on market opportunities and offer investors high returns. However, we believe there is still considerable room for growth.”

He added that over 50 per cent of the company’s projects financed next year will be abroad, with a view to diversifying its investment portfolio.

InRento opened its first overseas office in Warsaw, Poland, earlier this year.

“Our goal, both in Lithuania and abroad, is to recruit top experts with extensive experience in financial markets. We aim to further strengthen our position in Poland next year, which will drive the growth of our Warsaw office”, said Germanavičius.

InRento was the EU’s first licensed buy-to-let investment platform. It acts as an intermediary, allowing investors to earn rent and capital gains from properties, with a minimum investment of €500. The vast majority of properties funded by InRento are in the residential sector, with commercial properties, hotels, and medical properties making up the remainder of the loan portfolio.

The firm has financed 178 projects, with an average annual return of more than 12 per cent. It now has more than 25,000 registered investors.
