Donald Trump was supposed to be good for investors but things have not gone as planned.

After a stock market surge in the wake of the supposedly pro-business US president’s election, things went south as threat turned to action on tariffs.

Trump has rowed back slightly on his tariff announcements that rocked the market but has only put in place a 90 day pause – and is waging full on trade war with China.

This week, the FTSE 100 and global stock markets regained some ground, but tough and volatile times still lie ahead.

So, has the investing landscape totally changed, could US shares rebound and can the UK and Europe profit? Simon Lambert and Interactive Investor’s Richard Hunter discuss what next.
