The firm said it will build on its expertise of investing in CLOs for more than a decade by managing its own European CLO portfolios, allowing it to benefit from the resilience and performance of the asset class across various economic cycles.
Legato will aim to tap into a wide pool of opportunities and deliver enhanced risk-adjusted returns, it added.

The platform will be co-managed by Thomas Kyriakoudis, partner and co-head of private credit solutions at LGT Capital Partners, and newly-appointed portfolio manager Ilina Chen.
“We believe that by leveraging our in-depth credit analysis, along with the resources and CLO relationships that we have developed over more than a decade, Legato is well positioned to deliver value to our clients, particularly in today’s evolving market environment,” said Kyriakoudis.
