PeerBerry saw investments in loans rise by 12 per cent last month compared to April.
The European peer-to-peer lending marketplace said investors invested €31.43m (roughly £26.5m) in May and earned €890,468 in interest, taking the total interest paid out to-date to €43.76m.

In May, it saw 1,846 new investors join the platform, meaning it now has 103,100 verified users in total.
Since the firm’s inception, investors have now funded almost €3.05bn in loans, with the firm’s portfolio amounting to €115.45m as of the end of May – a slight dip on the previous month.

“The total portfolio slightly decreased compared to the previous month due to large repayments in long-term loans,” the firm said in a statement.
It had to make plans to grow its investment opportunities around the world last year after it delisted Polish loans from the platform at the end of 2023.
