Pantheon partner Helen Steers to retire at end 2025

The board of Pantheon International (PIP) has announced that Helen Steers, partner at Pantheon and co-lead manager of PIP, will retire at the end of 2025, after more than three decades working in private markets.

Steers, who has worked at the firm for 21 years, will step down from her responsibilities as part of PIP’s planned succession process.

Charlotte Morris, who has been co-lead manager alongside Steers since June 2024, will continue to manage PIP.

Morris is a partner in Pantheon’s global secondaries team, which is part of the firm’s broader 73 person global private equity team, and is also a member of the firm’s secondaries investment committee.

Based in London, Steers is a partner in Pantheon’s European investment team, having joined from Russell Investments in 2004, where she was managing director for private equity in Europe, according to the Pantheon website.

She has previously worked at the Business Development Bank of Canada, and has also served on the board of Invest Europe.

“The board would like to express its sincere thanks to Helen for her exceptional contribution to PIP and the wider Pantheon business over the last two decades and we wish her all the best in her forthcoming retirement,” said John Singer, chair of PIP.

“It has been an absolute privilege to manage PIP and serve its shareholders. Charlotte is an exceptional investor and will continue to manage the Company with the same discipline, thoughtfulness, values and long-term focus that have defined PIP’s approach over the years,” said Steers.
