M&G Wealth platform chief executive Richard Denning has been appointed non-executive director at Simplify Consulting.
Denning brings more than 25 years’ experience in platform development and transformation, having held senior roles at Old Mutual, Novia, Aegon and M&G.
He is joined by Kate Webber, chief solutions and technology officer at the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), whose career spans product and strategy leadership at Northern Trust, Calastone and BNY Mellon.
Simplify said the appointments will strengthen its position in wealth management as it accelerates its expansion strategy.
The firm recently appointed Louise Greig as chief operating officer and Nick Clarke as director of its Wealth Management practice.
The consultancy said growing demand for independent, practitioner-led advice across financial services is driving its expansion.
Its technology practice now covers enterprise, solution and data architecture, including transformation roadmaps, IT strategy, technology selection, and the effective use of AI and data.
Meanwhile, the insurance practice will expand into protection and general insurance, complementing Simplify’s existing life and pensions expertise. It will focus on operational excellence, change and transformation, strategy and risk, and regulation.
Carl Woodward, co-founder and co-director of Simplify, said: “The financial services industry is undergoing a monumental shift in its operational processes, driven primarily by technological advancements, evolving customer expectations, and increasingly complex regulatory demands. Those failing to adapt will be left behind.
“This is a moment in time for us. We are investing in the growth of the business and want to be the go-to independent, practitioner-led consultancy for financial services.”
