Paris-based Eiffel Investment Group has appointed Caroline Steil as general counsel.
Steil began her career in French and international law firms, where she specialised in the structuring of investment funds.
She then worked at several asset management companies, working on all legal issues relating to fund structuring and distribution.

In 2022, she joined France Invest, a trade body representing private equity, venture capital, private debt and infrastructure firms in France, as director of policy, legal and tax.
Fabrice Dumonteil, chairman of Eiffel Investment Group, welcomed Steil’s appointment and said that her expertise in the legal, tax and regulatory issues facing the asset management sector would be valuable to the business at a time of rapid transformation in the industry.

He added that Steil will play a key role in supporting the asset manager’s development and ensuring the legal robustness of its operations, both in France and internationally.

Eiffel is a French asset manager with €7bn (£6bn) under management, across four main strategies: private debt, private equity, energy transition (infrastructure debt and equity, private equity), and listed credit and equities.
