Harry Robinson makes partner at Lane42

Lane42 Investment Partners – a new US alternative asset manager launched by Ares Management veteran Scott Graves – has appointed Harry Robinson as partner and member of its executive committee.

Robinson will join the firm in January 2026 after previously being senior partner at McKinsey and Company for the past 20 years.

During his tenure, he held a number of senior positions, including serving on its governing board of directors, on the risk, audit and governance committee, and as chairman of the McKinsey client committee.

“Harry brings over 35 years of extensive, hands-on experience helping management teams and sponsors drive value and growth within their companies,” said Graves, chief executive and founder of Lane42.

Robinson will be based in the firm’s Santa Monica office and lead its portfolio value creation effort, supporting the performance of portfolio companies.

“His expertise working alongside asset managers and management teams across industries to transform performance and operational efficiency will help us accelerate our strategy to create value and capitalize on the most compelling investment opportunities on behalf of the global institutions we serve.”

Lane42 launched in March this year with $2bn (£1.5bn) in capital commitments and a minority equity investment from Millennium Management. It says that it specialises in capturing opportunities for value creation from inefficiencies in public and private markets and the convergence of public and private debt and equity financing across asset classes.
