Invesco strengthens private markets push with new DACH distribution head


Global asset manager Invesco has strengthened its focus on private markets with the appointment of Hermann Pfeifer as head of distribution for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).

In his new role, Pfeifer will be responsible for Invesco’s operations in the DACH region, including its exchange traded fund business and alternative and private market investments.

Pfeifer’s appointment takes effect on 11 November, joining Invesco from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he served as country head for Germany, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe and Greece. He has also held senior positions at Amundi, Lyxor, Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas.

“We are delighted to welcome Hermann Pfeifer, a highly respected leader in European asset management,” said Oliver Bilal, head of EMEA distribution at Invesco. “His experience in building and scaling successful distribution channels will be instrumental to our strategic direction in the DACH region. Under his leadership, we will continue to strengthen Invesco’s position as a solutions provider for long-term capital investment.”
