Ares Management’s Jamal Lama has rejoined Gibson Dunn as a partner in the law firm’s energy and infrastructure practice, where he will work closely with the private equity and M&A teams.
Lama previously served as in-house counsel at the alternatives manager, advising on transactions spanning private credit strategies, M&A joint ventures, preferred equity deals and other structured financings across sectors including digital infrastructure and energy.

Lama will re-join the firm in its New York office.

Gibson Dunn said Lama’s appointment reflects the continued expansion of its energy and infrastructure practice.
