BlackRock’s technology platform for wealth investors, Aladdin Wealth, and global fintech company iCapital have announced a partnership aimed at bringing alternative investments into advisers’ portfolios.
The partnership will integrate iCapital’s alternatives investment technology platform with Aladdin Wealth.
According to both firms, the integration will mark the first time advisers using the Aladdin platform can navigate the entire alternative investment lifecycle within a single workflow.

“As investor demand for alternatives grows, advisors are looking for integrated data and technology that helps them manage whole portfolios with greater efficiency and confidence,” said Ted Stratigos, global head of Aladdin Wealth. “This integration with iCapital will extend Aladdin Wealth’s capabilities by connecting advisors more directly to alternative investments, supported by the same data, analytics, risk management, and portfolio workflows they rely on across their business.”
The platform allows advisers to build, implement and monitor portfolios more effectively across both public and private markets, the firms said.

Advisers will now be able to find alternative offerings on the firm’s product shelf, initiate subscriptions and redemptions, and track status updates alongside portfolio analytics.
iCapital is an end-to-end platform that manages the lifecycle of non-traditional investment products and works with financial advisers, wealth managers, asset managers, insurance carriers and others.
“This partnership provides a connected and scalable framework for portfolio construction and oversight, improving efficiency and supporting more personalised client outcomes,” said Lawrence Calcano, chairman and chief executive of iCapital.
