AlbaCore Capital Group has appointed Diarmuid Curran as managing director and portfolio manager, primarily focusing on the firm’s European collateralised loan obligation (CLO) platform.
He will focus on both new issuance and existing CLO fund management and will report to partner and portfolio manager Deborah Cohen Malka, who leads the CLO business.

Curran joins AlbaCore from Napier Park Global Capital, where he served as a portfolio manager.
In his previous role, he was responsible for managing a portfolio of European loans and high yield bonds held in CLOs, as well as credit selection and underwriting as a member of the firm’s investment committee.

In March of this year, AlbaCore successfully priced its 7th CLO, AlbaCore Euro CLO VII, bringing the total value of CLO platform assets under management to around €2.9bn (around £2.5bn).
