Amundi has made two senior appointments within its real assets and alternatives division, naming a new deputy head and head of direct investing.
The French asset manager has appointed Alexandre Lefebvre as deputy head of real assets and alternatives, while Claire Chabrier has been named head of direct investing, private markets, within the same division.
Both appointments took effect on 1 January 2026.

Lefebvre has worked at Amundi since 1999. In 2020, he was appointed as chief executive of Sabadell Asset Management following its acquisition by the French manager.
Chabrier joined the Amundi private equity funds team in 2011. She also served as president of France Invest, the association representing private equity, infrastructure and private debt asset managers in France, from 2021 to 2023.

Amundi currently manages €2.3tn (£2tn) in assets under management across private equity, private debt and real estate.
The appointments of Lefebvre and Chabrier come during further senior changes at the group, including the appointment of Pierre-Adrien Domon as chief executive of Sabadell Asset Management and Michaël Martineau as chief executive of Fund Channel.
