BTG Pactual Global Alternatives, the $9.4bn (£6.9bn) division of BTG Pactual with a focus on specialised alternatives across the US and Latin America, has appointed Craig Kennedy as a senior advisor as it expands its US private markets platform.
In his new role, Kennedy will focus on origination and capital formation across the firm’s US private markets strategies, Strategic Capital and US Private Credit Investments (PCI).

Strategic Capital provides customised capital solutions to asset-oriented businesses, while PCI is focused on idiosyncratic secured loans within the middle and lower middle market.
Kennedy joins BTG Pactual Global Alternatives having spent 15 years at privately held merchant bank Allen & Company LLC, where he worked with clients and served as a long-term board advisor.
He has also previously held senior roles at Bank of America Securities’ media and telecom group and at Gleacher NatWest.
