SKEMA is seeking a proactive
and student-centered Corporate Relations
& Career Development Manager to drive strategic employer partnerships, support internship
placements, and provide individualized career
coaching to students on the U.S. campus. You will play a central role in bridging the gap
between academia and the professional world by
fostering corporate relationships, guiding students in their career development, and
expanding internship and job opportunities.
Strategic Partnership Development :
- Identify, build, and maintain
relationships with U.S.-based companies and global
employers to develop a robust network of partners for internships, OPT placements, and
career opportunities. - Focus on industries
aligned with SKEMA’s academic strengths (e.g., financial markets, international business,
and tech). - Develop strategic plans for
employer outreach, corporate engagement, and collaboration.
Internship and
Job Placement Support :
- Actively source and promote internship and employment opportunities to students.
- Collaborate with employers to tailor
opportunities that meet both business needs and student eligibility (e.g., F1/OPT
requirements). - Maintain and manage an up-to-date
internship/job portal for students.
Career Coaching & Student
Support :
- Provide individualized and
group-based career advising, including resume and cover letter reviews, interview
preparation, and job search strategies. - Guide
students in navigating U.S. work authorization pathways (e.g., OPT, CPT) and help
them understand employer expectations. - Design
& deliver career development workshops/resources tailored to SKEMA students.
Employer & Academic
Integration
- Work closely with SKEMA faculty and academic leadership to align career
services with curriculum, integrating
employer insights into the student experience. - Coordinate employer involvement in classroom
projects, speaker series, case
competitions, and industry panels.
Collaboration with NC State University
- Act as a liaison with NC State’s
Employer Relations and Career Development teams to expand SKEMA students’ access to shared services and
programming. - Ensure
integration into NC State’s career fairs, networking events, and employer visits.
Profil
Your
strengths and little extras
- Student-Focused: You are deeply committed to student
success and enjoy guiding others to achieve
their professional goals. - Corporate Relations Experience: 1–5 years of experience in
employer partnerships, university relations,
talent acquisition, or business development. Familiarity with corporate HR practices is a
plus. - Career Services Background:
Experience providing career counseling and workshop facilitation—especially related to resume
writing, interview prep, and job search
skills. - Cultural & International Competency: You are confident working in a multicultural
environment and understand the unique
needs of international students (especially F1 visa holders). - Strategic and Operational
Mindset: You can think big-picture while
executing with attention to detail and adaptability to the academic calendar. - Excellent
Communicator: Strong written and verbal
communication skills in English are required; French is a bonus
