Heron expands alts platform

Heron Finance has expanded its alternative investments platform with the launch of a new infrastructure strategy.

The strategy will give accredited individual investors and family offices access to five fund managers overseeing more than 1,000 private infrastructure assets, the San Francisco-based private markets investing platform said.

The move marks an expansion of Heron’s alternative investment platform beyond private credit and private equity, as investors seek to hedge against inflation and generate long-term returns.

“The launch of our private infrastructure strategy is a natural expansion of the Heron platform,” said Mike Sall, chief executive of Heron Finance. “With our platform now offering exposure to 20 experienced private markets funds selected by our proprietary fund ranking process, investors have access to a broader set of alternative investment opportunities through a single, diversified portfolio.”

Heron stated that the underlying private infrastructure funds in the new strategy are expected to deliver a 13.5 per cent annualised return after fees.
