Hilton Announces New Partnership with AutoCamp

The outdoors are calling, and Hilton guests will soon have a unique accommodation option near some of the most popular nature destinations in the U.S.

Hilton announced a new partnership with hospitality company AutoCamp, which is best known for its modern approach to “glamping” with luxury cabins, tents and travel trailers. AutoCamp has locations near national parks like Yosemite, Joshua Tree and Zion, as well as other outdoorsy destinations like the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.

“This is the first time a major hospitality brand and outdoor lodging company have come together in this way to create even more choices for travelers while redefining the outdoor hospitality experience,” Chris Silcock, president of Global Brands and Commercial Services at Hilton, said in a press release.

AutoCamp provides upscale accommodations that combine camping experiences with the comfort and design of a boutique hotel.

• Custom-designed travel trailers: An exclusive partnership with Airstream allows AutoCamp to offer stays in its iconic aluminum trailers with modern amenities.

• Cabins: A comfortable and familiar option for those who prefer a more traditional outdoor adventure setting.

• Luxury tents: For a more adventurous option, guests can opt for furnished tents.

Each location includes a central hub called “The Clubhouse,” where guests can order food and beverages from the onsite restaurant or pick up grab-and-go snacks, merchandise, and retail items from a specialty market.

In addition to The Clubhouse, each property includes multiple common areas, communal fire pits, trails and group meeting spaces. Some locations even have swimming pools.

AutoCamp currently has locations in or near:

• Yosemite National Park, Calif..

• Joshua Tree National Park, Calif.

• Zion National Park, Utah.

New AutoCamp locations are expected to open in Sequoia, California, this summer and Hill Country, Texas, next year.

Hilton Honors members will now be able to earn or redeem Hilton points for AutoCamp stays.

Members will earn 10 points for every $1 spent on the room rate and other eligible room charges. Plus, Hilton Honors members with elite status or Hilton co-branded credit cardholders earn even more points per stay.

Further, Hilton Honors members will soon enjoy exclusive member benefits during AutoCamp stays (though these exact details have yet to be announced).

For a luxury tent in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, or a cozy travel trailer in Asheville, North Carolina, AutoCamp prices start at about $200 per night (including taxes and fees). The cost can climb much higher on weekends or for more premium accommodations.

A long weekend for two adults from Oct. 11 to Oct. 14, 2024, in a Classic Cabin in Joshua Tree, California, costs an average of $509 per night with the advance purchase rate. The total cost for this stay, including taxes and fees, comes out to approximately $1,719.

The AutoCamp partnership is just the latest expansion for the Hilton portfolio. Hilton has 22 hotel brands in over 7,500 locations worldwide. The company also recently announced a new partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which gives customers even more choice in boutique accommodations.
