Chiodo’s cross‑border practice spans a range of capital needs, including leveraged finance, private credit, US and European term loan B, general banking and corporate financings.
He also advises on public‑to‑private transactions, restructurings and post-initial public offering financings.
“Adrian’s experience is a powerful fit for both our London finance team and the firm’s broader corporate platform,” said Daniel Walsh, co-chair of Akin. “His broad skillset, financing credibility and strategic mindset deepen our team and further advance our growth in private equity and capital solutions.”

David Sewell, co-head of the corporate practice at Akin, said Chiodo is expected to have an “immediate impact” on the firm’s leveraged finance and wider finance offering.
“His arrival strengthens our offering to private equity sponsors while adding depth across the wider credit landscape and enhancing Akin’s competitiveness in the leveraged finance market,” Sewell added.
His appointment follows several recent hires by Akin, including private equity partners Daniel Oates and Angela Becker, and tax partner Sam Riesenberg in London.
“The firm has the scale, expertise and collaborative culture to deliver decisive, cross-border execution. I’m thrilled to join a platform that is accelerating at pace, especially as demand for sophisticated leveraged finance execution continues to rise,” said Chiodo.
