LBP AM European Private Markets has appointed Sophie Vergez (pictured) as co-head, funds of funds in its capital solutions division.
The asset management subsidiary of La Banque Postale, LBP AM, rebranded its private assets business as LBP AM European Private Markets at the start of this year.
The capital solutions team designs, structures and manages bespoke private assets investment solutions for wealth management professionals and institutional investors.
Vergez has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial sector and specifically in private assets funds selection.
She has previously held roles at Credit Agricole, Deloitte and Amundi Private Equity Funds.
Most recently, she was investment director at Omada IM, an investment management company specialising in private equity.
“We want to expand and deepen our partnerships with private assets funds, whose quality, track record and non-financial attributes represent sources of diversification and value for our clients,” said Irène d’Orgeval, head of capital solutions.
LBP AM has been growing its business in the increasingly popular private markets space, as investors look to private assets for attractive returns and diversification away from public markets.
It has made several new appointments to LBP AM European Private Markets, including Peter Arnold as head of its European private assets platform.
In February this year, it named Karine Gate as head of operations – private assets, and Julie Kong as product structurer – private assets.
