MoneySuperMarket has added Scottish Widows to its protection insurance panel, in a move aimed at widening access to life and critical illness cover.
The insurer’s products are now available through MoneySuperMarket’s platform, which is powered by LifeSearch’s ‘Buy Now’ technology.
The integration allows customers to obtain cover in less than six minutes, provided their responses meet automated eligibility criteria. If not, they are seamlessly directed to alternative options, including free expert advice from LifeSearch’s team.
The partnership reflects a shared ambition between MoneySuperMarket and LifeSearch to boost awareness and take-up of protection products by offering a streamlined digital experience supported by guidance at every step.
Sara Newell, director of insurance at MoneySuperMarket, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Scottish Widows to our protection insurance panel. Through our partnership with LifeSearch, we’re supporting more people to find the right life and protection cover, so they know their families will be protected if the unexpected happens.”
Paul Jenkin, head of protection change at Scottish Widows, added: “This launch embodies our commitment to innovation and making life and critical illness insurance accessible and relevant. LifeSearch shares our ambition to simplify and expand the protection market, and through this easy-to-use platform, more customers can confidently get the protection they need.”
Gareth Jones, head of strategic partnerships at LifeSearch, said the addition of Scottish Widows enhances the quality and value of MoneySuperMarket’s protection offering.
“We are committed to protecting people properly and are delighted that this collaboration enhances MoneySuperMarket’s comparison service with the quality underwriting and value proposition that Scottish Widows offers,” he said.
