Marks & Spencer has started selling Skechers, Crocs and Toms footwear brands as it steps up its ‘Brands at M&S platform’.
More than 200 styles are available on its website, with free next day collection at more than 700 locations.
Shoe retailers are the latest to join the website as M&S continues a turnaround plan to revitalise its fashion.
It has more than 60 brands on its site as it tries to attract a wider range of shoppers. Its shoes sell well in autumn and winter but it hopes to sell summer shoes, such as Skechers brand, modelled by Myleene Klass, just as successfully.
Richard Price, managing director of clothing and home, said: ‘With the arrival of three global brands in the leisure footwear category, together with a refreshed and reshaped own-brand offer, we’re confident that we have a compelling footwear offer.’
In an upbeat annual results last week, boss Stuart Machin said its strong food division and revitalised clothing and home arm were ‘continuing to grow sales and market share’.
Profits rose 21 per cent to £475.7million.
