Muzinich & Co. has appointed Tatjana Greil Castro as global head of investments, with responsibility for overseeing both public and private credit markets.
Greil Castro will focus on “driving investment excellence, strengthening risk discipline and fostering collaboration” across regions and investment teams at the global institutional asset manager.

She joined Muzinich in 2007 and is a portfolio manager with nearly three decades of corporate credit experience, as well as being the owner of a farm in the UK.
Prior to joining Muzinich, Greil Castro worked for Metlife Investments, where she served as an associate director of the high return unit. She also worked in European high yield for Fortis Investments and as a portfolio manager and credit analyst at Legal & General Investment Management.
Her appointment is part of several senior leadership hires made by the firm as it seeks to “sharpen” its focus on identifying the most compelling credit opportunities globally.

Thomas Samson has been named global head of high yield and Hugo Wheeler as head of global accounts and marketing.
Samson will continue to lead European high yield investing, while taking on oversight of the firm’s high yield platform globally, with a focus on “optimal” team structure and enabling collaboration to capture the best high-yield opportunities across regions.
In his new role, Wheeler will partner with the firm’s largest global investors and distribution teams to deepen relationships and grow strategic partnerships.
