Nuvama Asset Management has appointed Amit Kansal as chief investment officer for private credit.
In a LinkedIn announcement, the firm said Kansal’s appointment will strengthen its private credit platform, with Anshu Kapoor, president and head of Nuvama Asset Management, stating that it marks a “significant step in scaling our alternatives offering”.

Kansal joins the Indian wealth manager from Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, where he served as head of alternative investments, fixed income for two years.
Prior to that, Kansal spent more than 11 years at Aditya Birla Group in a range of roles, including chief investment officer.
“With 25 plus years of experience, including leading private credit at Aditya Birla AMC, he has built and scaled businesses across asset classes,” the firm said on LinkedIn.

Nuvama Asset Management is a manager backed by PAG, an Asian alternative investment firm, and has ₹4.6tn (£37.3bn) in client assets.
“With over two decades of experience across credit and special situations, Amit brings deep execution capability and platform-building expertise,” said Kapoor in a LinkedIn post.
