Pemberton Asset Management has appointed Oaktree’s Jay Daryanani as managing director in its collateralised loan obligation (CLO) team, in a move aimed at expanding the business.
The appointment comes as Pemberton’s CLO platform has grown to €1.6bn (£1.4bn) of assets under management, following the issuance of two new CLOs under its Indigo series – Indigo III and Indigo IV – in 2025.

“Jay brings almost two decades of experience, with a strong track record in credit selection and developing successful CLO strategies across a number of sectors in Europe,” said Rob Reynolds, head of CLOs at Pemberton Asset Management. “He joins the Pemberton team at a time when our CLO platform continues to go from strength to strength.”
Daryanani joins the €29bn European private credit manager from Oaktree Capital Management, where he spent nearly two decades and most recently served as managing director investing in Europe.
The hire follows Pemberton’s appointment of a new chief financial officer and several other senior roles within its private credit team as part of a broader management overhaul in January.
