The Career Coach supports
high school students in exploring career options, setting career goals, and identifying college programs that align with their interests and
aspirations. This grant-funded, full-time, 10-month position is assigned to Western Guilford High School in Greensboro and is designed to
strengthen the connection between secondary education, postsecondary pathways, and workforce opportunities. The Career Coach is an employee
of Guilford Technical Community College and reports to the Coordinator of Career Services, while working primarily on-site at the high
school to provide direct advising, program coordination, and collaborative support for students, families, and school
partners.
Min Salary: $51,292.31
Mid Salary: $57,703.85 – We offer a competitive salary
package that will be determined based on the candidate’s experience level and qualifications related to the job. Compensation will be
commensurate with your level of experience.
Education Required
- Bachelors’ Degree from regionally accredited
institution
Experience Required
- Minimum of two (2) years; experience in secondary and/or post-secondary
education - Comfortable with public speaking and conducting presentations
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
Experience Preferred
- Global Career Development Facilitator or related training
- Experience using
various career exploration tools and resources and interpreting labor market information - Experience coordinating events
- Experience interacting with businesses/employers
- Previous work experience in an educational institution

relationships with students, teachers and other personnel at the high school and at the community college
