The new PS5 Slim has received its first major discount following its release in November 2023. Best Buy is currently selling the PlayStation 5 Slim Spider-Man 2 Bundle for $449.99, a $50 discount from its original price of $499.99.
The PS5 Slim is not just slimmer than the original PS5 (about 30% slimmer, according to IGN’s review); it also has 1TB of internal storage space, which results in an additional 181GB of usable space when compared to the original PS5. This addresses two of the biggest cons of the original PS5: the bulkiness and lack of storage space compared to the Xbox Series X.
The PS5 Slim is can be oriented both horizontally and vertically—but if you go with the latter, you’ll need a vertical stand that costs $29.99.
