What happened to CV Shed?

After trading for 15 years, first as a sole trader and later as a limited company, CV Shed was doing well. It had a good reputation, and previous customers were happy to recommend its CV writing services to friends and colleagues. So why can’t you find it online now? Don’t worry, it hasn’t disappeared, CV Shed has a new name!

Did CV Shed close down?

CV Shed, as it was, stopped trading at the end of 2025 and formally closed in April 2026. The good news is that you can still get your CV written by the same business! CV Shed’s new name is Word Dragon and it still produces the same bespoke CVs its customers have come to know and love.

Why has CV Shed got a new name?

With 15 years of CV-writing experience, CV Shed had accumulated a lot of specialist knowledge. The demand for that knowledge meant that CV Shed was able to branch out into writing blogs about CVs and job-search-related topics. As the requests for articles grew, topics expanded to include outplacement, interviews, career development and more. Later, editing was added to the mix, as CV Shed’s knowledge grew further. Sometimes there were even non-career related requests!

As a result, the name CV Shed no longer fitted. The company was offering more than just CVs, although that remained (and remains) at the heart of the business.

It was time to focus on the broader offering. Encompassing content writing and editing, as well as CVs,

was born.

The CV Shed name change means that the website has expanded and marketing and promotion can focus on all aspects of the business, so that potential clients are aware of the full range of services on offer.
