Job Summary
Seeking a creative and passionate individual to help grow the workforce development department and expand
program
training opportunities. This motivated, dedicated, and highly organized individual will assist the VC of Workforce in coordinating
workforce
training, maintaining records, and strengthening partnerships. The main job functions include but are not limited to, program
development
and coordination, client relations, and accurate record keeping.
The expectation is that the successful candidate works
professionally, productively, and effectively in a fast-paced environment and department while doing quality work. Candidates with
coordination, relationship-building skills, and data entry experience are preferred but willing to train the right person.
The
incumbent must be detail-oriented, have effective oral communication, strong interpersonal skills, and be capable of maintaining working
relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.
Examples of Duties:
Responsibilities
- Assist the
VC of Workforce in planning, developing, and implementing workforce programs and
monitoring and evaluating program progress. -
Establish and maintain workforce records and files and present information accurately
and clearly. - Provide exceptional customer
service while serving as a point of contact for workforce inquiries. -
Successfully interact with local and regional employers to
identify workforce development needs. - Create and develop spreadsheets
to track workforce data, courses, revenue, and information. - Organize and categorize existing workforce data into spreadsheets.
- Continuously improve the process of collecting
workforce information. - Assist in promoting and distributing information
on workforce classes and training. - Other
Workforce projects as assigned.
Minimum/Preferred
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate degree or higher preferred. - Able to meet timelines and due dates, and complete assigned duties.
- Willing to
work collaboratively across multiple
departments for institutional success. - Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and
overseeing multiple projects -
Exceptional communication and organizational skills - Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
