About This
Role
The College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) at Kansas State University is looking to hire a Career
Development Coordinator to join their team. This position will manage the college’s professional mentoring program and coordinate
career development opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. The Career Development Coordinator will be responsible for
developing and maintaining relationships with alumni, professionals, and industry partners and will also serve as the HHS liaison for the
Career Center. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Student Success.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with departmental faculty to design and integrate career development content into key coursework
- Partner with the
accreditation coordinator to ensure career readiness components align with accreditation standards and outcomes - Engage campus
partners and coordinate with the University Career Center to plan and execute career events each semester - Build and maintain a
diverse network of professionals representing the full range of academic and professional programs within HHS, in partnership with faculty
and college administration - Assist with identifying applied learning opportunities, including internships, practicums, and
experiential learning placements, by connecting students with field professionals and community partners - Provide individualized and
group advising to support student career exploration, professional development, and goal attainment - Promote career development
program through proactive outreach to students, faculty, and campus partners - Collaborate with the HHS academic records team to
administer the graduating senior survey and analyze results to inform program improvement - Recruit and match mentors and mentees for
the professional mentoring program

This position is on-site.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school
diploma (or equivalent) - Seven years of relevant experience in developing and executing career readiness programs, developing and
executing events, and/or working with a variety of college students and professional populations - Valid driver’s license
- Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Professional post-baccalaureate work experience
- Strong interpersonal
skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and management skills
- Previous
successful work in an academic/university community - Previous experience working with a variety of academic disciplines

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without
