Academic and Career Support Coordinator


Provide, monitor, and report on individual career, internship, and job placement services to interested students through available digital platforms

  • Collaborate with faculty, advisors, staff and partners to identify internship, mentorship, and work-based learning opportunities for students and, in coordination with faculty, connect interested to students to available opportunities
  • Develop and conduct workshops for students on topics related to career preparation and success which may include workplace professionalism, resumes and interviews, and effective communications.
  • Collaborate with Library Learning Hub staff on identification and acquisition of physical and electronic career services materials for placement in Library Learning Hub Collection.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to create high impact experiences for students in areas of career readiness.

Other Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborate in developing and implementing workshops for new students
  • Represent the Library Learning Hub on various College committees and groups
  • Assist with orientation and other student support programs as needed
  • Serve as a substitute at the LLH service desk when needed

This position supervises part-time temporary tutors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or a field with curriculum related to duties of the position; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Education or Experience

  • Master’s degree in education or a field with curriculum related to duties of the position
  • Experience working specifically with post-secondary educational programs

Additional Information

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule. Hours and schedule may vary depending on the needs of the program.

Probationary Period: Six months minimum
