The Gordon Career Center works with students of all class years to translate their liberal education into a lifetime of meaningful work. Reporting to the Associate Director for Career Advising (Arts & Humanities), the Temporary Career Development Intern works closely with Gordon Career Center advising staff. The intern will work up to 20 hours/week between July-December 2026, with start and end dates, as well as weekly hours, to be determined with the successful candidate. This position is not eligible for either benefits or student loan deferment.
Responsibilities include:

Review resumes and other job search materials submitted by students on our recruiting system, Handshake.

Advise students in appointments to answer basic questions about their job and internship search process.

Support the Associate Director for Career Advising as needed.

Provide general administrative support, including for career-related programs sponsored by the Career Center.

Other duties as assigned.
This position is an on-campus position with potential for remote or a hybrid (on campus and remote) schedule in the future. All positions may require on campus meetings.
Remote work is only considered for residents of MA, VT, NH, ME, CT, RI, or NY.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrollment in a master’s degree program in counseling, higher education, or a related field. Demonstrated interest in career counseling.
