We are seeking a candidate with experience in internships and the Handshake platform.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting internship and student employment services at St. Petersburg College through administrative coordination and use of the college’s career platform. Basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures are required at this level. Incumbents perform non-routine administrative functions requiring the application of department and organizational policies and procedures while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities may include reviewing internship applications, maintaining internship and employment records, supporting the use of the college’s career platform, assisting students with accessing internship and employment opportunities, and responding to inquiries related to internship and employment services. Incumbents may also compile and track data and reports related to internship and employment activity and support various processes within Career Services.
Support internship and student employment services.
Review and process internship applications
Maintain internship and employment records
Track internship placements and related information
Support the administration of the colleges career platform.
Assist students with accessing internship and job opportunities
Review job and internship postings
Respond to student and staff inquiries related to the platform
Maintain internship and employment data.
Compile and track reports related to internships and student employment
Maintain organized records and documentation
High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of related work experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Visual Acuity 5 close acuity for inspection of small defects, machines, use measurement devices, or fabricate parts.

Pulling use upper extremities to exert force, haul or tug.

Walking on foot to accomplish tasks, long distances, or site to site.

TYPE OF WORK

Work performed is primarily:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Very heavy work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

WORK ENVIRONMENT

May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work is performed in a dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
