Juniper Financial Planning has joined Quilter Financial Planning’s network as a strategic partner.
Juniper was set up by Ross Hunter, Scott Moore and Euan Brown in Prestwick, Scotland.
The three men collectively have 50 years of experience working in the industry for firms including Standard Life, Abrdn, Barclays, BDO and Grant Thornton.
Hunter, managing director of Juniper, served as an infantry officer in the British Army before becoming a financial planner.
The trio all previously worked for The Munro Partnership, an independent financial adviser business based in Scotland, which became part of abrdn Financial Planning.
Juniper said its mission is “to deliver financial planning with a personalised touch that helps clients prepare for the future, while counselling them during times of financial or emotional stress”.
Quilter Financial Planning managing director Stephen Fryett said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Juniper to our network.
“The firm’s aspirations closely align with our own and we look forward to supporting the firm’s growth.
“Ross, Scott and Euan are all experienced financial planners and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with Quilter Financial Planning to realise their ambitions.”
Hunter added: “We all have experience working for both large corporate firms and smaller boutique companies, and we have designed Juniper to combine the best of both worlds for our clients. We believe the Quilter proposition best helps us achieve this.
“We have set up our office back in Ayrshire, which will remain our base, but will retain our national reach in order to service our clients across the UK.”
In January 2024, Quilter platform’s customer app reached its 100,000th download, just over a year after launching.
Launched in November 2022 and available to Quilter platform customers, the app is designed to “enhance the online customer experience” and provide advisers’ clients with a “high quality, secure” means of accessing their investments and documents.
The app also helps advisers reinforce the relationship with their clients by including details of each client’s adviser and their firm prominently within the app.
Each adviser firm has full control over what details appear for their clients.
