LAVCA, the association for private capital investment in Latin America, has announced changes to its board, including the appointment of Francisco Alvarez-Demalde as chair.
Alvarez-Demalde, currently co-founder and managing partner of Riverwood Capital, has previously served as a member of the LAVCA board. He succeeds Nicolás Szekasy, co-founder and managing partner of Kaszek.

“I’m honoured to return to the board as chair and to support LAVCA’s work in expanding private capital investment across all asset classes in the region, which drives economic growth, job creation, and the development and consolidation of deeper capital markets across Latin America,” said Alvarez-Demalde.
Alongside the appointment of a new chair, LAVCA has also appointed three new directors: Nicolás Berman, partner at Kaszek; Brenno Raiko, managing director at Advent International; and Juan Savino, managing director focused on Latin America at Lexington Partners.
