Where to Dine, Drink, and Dance This NYFW, According to a 20-Season Vet

Printemps

French luxury department store Printemps opened in the Financial District last year and has hosted events every Fashion Week since. The two-floor behemoth contains more art than most museums (if you consider designer clothes art, which I do) and is more stylishly designed than most hotels. Fashion insiders often stop by during NYFW for events or quick coffee dates at the downstairs Café Jalu, where A-listers like Katie Holmes and Anna Wintour have been spotted.

Closr NYFW Event & Watch Party

On February 12 from 5 to 9 p.m., Closr, a retail platform for cause-driven designers, will be hosting an NYFW watch party at La Noxe Trinity speakeasy. The event will include a pop-up featuring the work of immigrant designers to show support amid America’s current immigration climate. Founder Drishti M Gangwani calls it, “A communal space where fashion enthusiasts can come together to watch the best shows, talk through every milestone, and engage with fashion as a culture rather than a spectacle.” Tickets cost $37.50 and include access to the event, as well as a craft cocktail inspired by the designer of your choice.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute

If you’re looking to get your fill of runway designs without actually attending a show, the Met is your best bet. Their famous Costume Institute is perpetually stocked with sartorial treasures from some of fashion’s most heralded designers: Virgil Abloh, Pharrell Williams, Olivier Rousteing, and many more. The current exhibit is called “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and explores couture designs from Black designers.

Marc Jacobs Runway Watch Party

Marc Jacobs and Lyas will kick off the NYFW festivities with a runway watch party, taking place on Monday, February 9, at Loosie’s nightclub. The brand will livestream its 2026 runway show, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Doors, however, will open an hour prior.
