Hastings College is seeking a dynamic, student-focused professional to serve as our Assistant Director of Career Services. This full-time, exempt position is ideal for an individual passionate about bridging the gap between academic life and professional success. In this role, you will be a key player in building inter-departmental relationships, guiding students through their career journeys, and managing innovative programming that prepares our graduates for the modern workforce.
Responsibilities
- Career Coaching: Assist students in clarifying goals, interpreting career inventories, and mastering “career readiness” skills like resume writing and interviewing.
- Programming & Events: Design and deliver workshops, panels, and career fairs. You will also collaborate with the Alumni Association to manage our mentoring program.
- Student Campus Employment: Manage the student employment program as a tool for skill development, including recruiting and onboarding students via ADP.
- Marketing & Tech: Enhance our social media presence, update marketing materials, and serve as a power user for the Handshake platform.
- Leadership: Directly supervise and mentor student workers, including those designated as social media specialists.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of education and at least one year of experience in career development, job-search coaching, human resources, and/or a related field.
