LOCATION: Lynnwood,
Washington

DESCRIPTION:

The Edmonds Career
Access Program (EdCAP) is a youth re-engagement program serving out-of-school youth between the ages of 16 and 21 on our college campus. The
EDCAP Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating with the EdCAP Director to delegate tasks, and implement program initiatives
including securing funding requirements; monitoring EdCAP attendance requirements; overseeing outreach and marketing efforts; case managing
students; and liaising with community partnershipsThis position is expected to use research-based best practices to foster student and
programmatic success. Leadership and collaboration with faculty, campus partners, the College¿s school district partners, and the Washington
State Office of the Superintendent for Public Instruction (OSPI) is essential. This position will interpret complex regulations and
implement efficient processes.This position plays a critical role in student enrollment, retention, and success at Edmonds
College.

This is an exempt position that reports to the Director of EDCAP

Responsibilities include,
but are not limited to:

  • Case manage program students; maintain accuracy and attention to detail in transcript and
    assessment evaluations; follow up on student intervention and Early Alert with students and faculty. Coordinate student support
    meetings.
  • Assist in overseeing admissions, assessment, orientation, advising, registration, and other enrollment service activities
    for EdCAP. Monitor enrollment trends and collaborate with the Director to develop action plans that align with state
    standards.
  • Oversee marketing and outreach efforts, including new student orientations, participation in resource fairs, and updating
    program materials to align with the Director¿s strategic vision.
  • Support the Director in hiring, and training, assigned staff,
    including case managers. Work closely with case managers to implement and complete any funding requirements, and other program
    initiatives
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact with the College, School District, community partners, and statewide program
    representatives to support the Director in fostering strong relationships and maintaining compliance with OSPI, state, and college
    regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor¿s degree in Education, Counseling or
    related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing case management, counseling, or related direct services to at-risk
    individuals or 16-21 year old youth.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience.

DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master¿s degree in Education, Counseling or related field.
  • Knowledge of Washington state
    graduation requirements, Becca Bill, HB 1418 Open Doors Youth Reengagement, and FERPA.
  • Successful experience case managing students
    to complete in an alternative high school setting and transition to college certificate or degree programs.
  • Ability to interpret
    regulations and streamline processes.
  • Bilingual in Spanish

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is typically performed in an office setting, and onsite/in-person. Work is generally stationary, sitting down with students or
in front of the computer for most of the day. Other physical activity includes walking to the lobby to greet students and standing for
extended periods of time during orientations, workshops, or class presentations.

COMPENSATION:

Salary is $70,037.04 – $72,300.36 and is based on the Edmonds College administrative/exempt salary schedule, plus a
full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and
leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, and 24 vacation leave days per
year.

WORK SCHEDULE:

40-hour work week. Monday through Friday with flexible start and end
times (8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm).

FLSA Status:

The position is an exempt
position under the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.

    employment but will be considered in determining the applicant¿s suitability and competence to perform in the position.
