Job Description
Summary:
Position will provide direct student support for students enrolled in the Building Construction Trades grant. Will
assist in recruiting, assessing, and mentoring students to support grant goals including assisting in job placement and career exploration.
Coordinate and implement outreach and recruitment strategies. Track and report student attendance, behavior, and progress. Refer students to
network of campus and community service providers. Establish positive and trusting relationships with students. Coordinate and/or provide
supportive services to support academic persistence and success. Connect students to college admission processes, including financial aid,
academic advising, and academic and student support services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors
degree.
One (1) year of experience in coordinating education programs.
Experience in supporting at-risk populations and
managing multiple student support activities and coordinating referrals to community partners.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or Masters degree in social services or education or other related field.
Two (2)
years of experience in coordinating adult education programs or other basic work skills training programs.
Experience with student
recruiting and advising, workforce placement, or coordinating social services.
Experience in providing case management supporting
adults from recruitment and intake through certification and employment.
