The department of Today’s Youth at Morehead State
University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a College & Career Coordinator (Boyd & Greenup Counties). The anticipated
start date is June 1, 2026.
Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town,
nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of

RESPONSIBILITIES: The College & Career Coordinator, Today’s Youth Program at Boyd & Greenup,
shall be responsible for coordinating all counseling, career and outreach services to the 10-county service area/TENCO region. Those
responsibilities will expand to the surrounding areas for youth who attend college in the TENCO area. Responsibilities include preparation
of and providing the components necessary to meet the requirements of the 14 program elements in the contract. These activities will support
work experience and employment preparation and preparation for college entry.
REQUIREMENTS: A
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree preferred. Previous
experience working with educational or economically disadvantaged youth and knowledge of community human services resources is very
desirable. Success in overcoming the disadvantages of circumstances similar to those of the population of the target area. Must be flexible
and able to adjust to change as position works to meet various individual participant needs.

Organizational Relationships
The
College & Career Coordinator reports to the Project Director, Today’s Youth Program. The College & Career Coordinator interacts with
Director and staff of MSU Campus offices, Maysville Community and Technical College/Rowan Campus, Ashland Community and Technical
College/Ashland Campuses, their offices of postsecondary admissions and financial aid in the multi-county target area, high schools,
governmental and community groups, and secondary personnel, local business partners and TENCO staff. Reporting directly to the College &
Career Coordinator are the part-time student workers.
Working Conditions
Works independently and meets
weekly with supervisor face-to-face. Establishes own daily work schedule. Work is divided between coordinating program activities and
services for participants, networking with various schools, universities and community businesses, conducting workshops, entering case notes
in KEE Suite, traveling to various sites in the multi-county target area, field trips and conferences, preparing documentation and
invoicing, completing workflows, and greeting office traffic. The normal work week is 37.5 hours, however additional hours may be required
occasionally to complete work.
