HALO Invest has unveiled an investment research product tool to help individuals find better investment opportunities.
The HALO Global investment research tool offers institutional grade content and is made accessible to everyday investors.
The service will provide “in-depth financial data, powerful analytical tools and insight to enable investors to develop bespoke models, track performance and invest in global mega trends and thematic portfolios.”
HALO Global offers the chance to explore more than 35,000 companies and “empowers people to make well-informed investment decisions”.
It is designed for both new investors and allows them to construct dummy portfolios “to test the waters”, as well as for more seasoned investors who wish to dive into further detail.
HALO Invest also gives an historical view of a company’s financials, and provides investors with predictive data extending up to three years into the future, sourced from leading research firms and brokers.
Investors will also have access to an exclusive selection of curated thematic portfolios around trends such as artificial intelligence, car of the future, and the genomics revolution.
The tool also has a feed of exclusive news, commentary and insights will help investors stay informed about their holdings and the market.
HALO Invest chief executive Doug Boyce said: “We see lots of articles about the need to get more people investing and saving for their future but all too often people do not feel informed enough about how to go about it.
“Investing can be a daunting prospect for many with endless data, across multiple content channels.
“While the charts within HALO Global provide everything you could possibly want, users can customise the service to suit their needs and knowledge levels.
“If someone is just starting out on their investment journey they could strip it right back to basics and then build up as they gain confidence.
“They can even change the colour of the charts, which as someone who struggles to differentiate certain colours, I find extremely useful and it helps make the tool more accessible.
“HALO Invest will cater for all types of investors, from those using advisers, to the self-directed or those forgotten investors that want access to models but may be thought of as not having a large enough portfolio to gain access to an adviser – we look forward to sharing more details in due course.
“The platform will connect into the research proposition to enable seamless investing.”
HALO Invest believes financial advice firms could also use the service to help aid discussions with clients, so they feel armed with the relevant information and knowledge about their investment decisions
It is also “gearing” up to launch a new adviser platform in the UK.
HALO Invest is a UK-based, FCA-regulated investment platform built to serve financial advisers and their retail clients.
